The project

This arcade game is base on the game app The Line Zen, which features a ball that has to go through a linear maze defying several moving obstacles without hitting nor the walls nor the obstacles. In this format the player moves the ball using his/her fingers. For this new adaptation the concept is the underwater journey of a yellow submarine that dives in the depths of the ocean avoiding its rocky walls and obstacles in order to keep it's adventure going.

Submarine provides the player an arcade game experience with a yellow box of controls that feature a large red joystick and a blue push button. The controls were kept simple to enhance the player's gaming experience according to the goal of the game. As outputs the game provides music, sounds and the controller box provides a light that changes hue depending on the depth the submarine is diving through.

The game code was developed in Processing, and the control box was joined and put into operations using Arduino. All the graphics are originally created in Adobe Illustrator, gifs made using Adobe Photoshop.
